CV / BIO

Antonio Castles Gomez is an artist interested mostly in the combination of different disciplines, like lens based media, mechatronics and programming, through the gaze of historical perspective. He is a graduate of History and Fine Arts from the Andes University in Bogotá, Colombia, his city of birth. After his studies there he relocated to Berlin, where he is currently based, and graduated from the University of The Arts. During his studies there he attended the class of Experimental Film with prof. Nina Fischer, and New Media, with prof. Joachim Sauter. He has been awarded with the Elsa Neumann Stipendium of the city of Berlin and the DAAD Scholarship for Graduate Students, and has shown his work in different venues and events around the Americas such as Mono No Aware X in New York, Artecámara 2014 in Bogotá and different commercial fairs and collective exhibitions in Perú, Argentina and Puerto Rico. He is currently represented by Galería El Dorado in Bogotá.
